  1. I just want to tell you how beautiful your work is! These bracelets you make are stunning creations . I am trying to understand how they are made...tin wire (thread?) is what my google translate tells me is used, all glued to a leather backing? Do you sell your bracelets? Do you have an online shop like on Etsy? I want to buy this one! Thank you for this lovely blog...I am a weaver and I appreciate your lovely rag rugs too! All the way from Vermont in the United States....Lausanne Allen Please find me on Facebook and say hello if you wish!

    1. Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you like my work. I use reindeer leather and tin thread (or perhaps it's called pewter wire in English, I'm not sure) and depending on the design of the bracelet I might also use for example beads or nylon thread. I glue the tin thread to the leather backing, that's correct, but that's just to keep it in place while I sew the tin thread to the backing with tiny stitches, using invisible nylon thread. It's time consuming, but necessary to keep the tin thread in place, if I don't do it it will fall off. Unfortunately I don't sell my bracelets, I don't make that many of them and the ones I do make I keep for myself or give to my friends and family. But it's not that difficult to learn, actually, so I suggest you try to make a bracelet yourself if you are interested. You don't need any special skills or anything; I'm completely self taught and I learnt by testing different things. I found a couple of tutorials when I googled it, and there's also some information on Pinterest; check it out if you are interested. I should probably make my own tutorial too; hopefully I'll have time do that this summer.

Thank you so much for your kind words about the blog and the rag rugs, reading them brightened up a dull and not very exciting day. I appreciate it very much. Hope you want to try to make your own bracelets, once you get the hang of it it's definitely worthwhile.
